Volunteers: The Heart of Habitat for Humanity Lakeside

At Habitat for Humanity Lakeside, volunteers are the foundation of our mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Whether swinging a hammer, assisting in our ReStore, or supporting our office operations, every volunteer plays a crucial role in transforming lives and communities.

For the safety of all involved and in accordance with federal labor laws and Habitat for Humanity International guidelines, we have age restrictions for certain volunteer activities:

• No one under 16 is permitted on active construction sites.
• Volunteers under 18 may not participate in ultra-hazardous activities.
• Volunteers under 14 may engage in age-appropriate tasks at our ReStore (when closed to customers) or in our office.
